Your studio profile

Your studio's name, country, and timezone are the settings everything else runs on, so getting them right up front keeps pay, dates, and compliance correct.

Updated September 22, 2026

A handful of settings sit underneath everything InstructorHUB does, and they live in your studio profile. They are quick to set and easy to overlook, but they quietly shape pay dates, the details you collect, and how your team reaches you, so they are worth getting right early.

Name, country, and timezone

Your studio name is what appears across the app and on anything your staff see, so it should read the way you want your team to see it.

Your country does more than label you. It decides which compliance fields InstructorHUB collects from your staff, the right tax, bank, and contribution details for where you operate, so setting it correctly is what makes the rest of compliance ask for the right things, see Compliance fields by country.

Your timezone is the civil clock InstructorHUB uses to decide what day it is. That matters more than it sounds, because a pay period's dates and a rate's effective date are calendar facts, and they should follow your studio's day, not a server's. Set it to where your studio actually runs and dates behave the way you expect.

Your login address

Your studio also has its own login address, derived from your studio, which is where you and your staff sign in. It is set for you rather than typed, so it stays stable and unambiguous. How you and your team use it is covered in Logging in.

These settings reward a minute of care at setup. Because so much reads off them, a wrong timezone or country shows up later as odd dates or the wrong compliance fields, and both are avoided simply by setting the profile correctly from the start.
